Carol Holden, D.Min., is a freelance Pastoral Consultant.She is also an adjunct faculty member who teaches graduate-level courses on pastoral planning and leadership development at Loyola University Chicago andthe summer Loyola Institute for Ministry program in New Orleans. She has also taughtthree of the online courses for the Institute. From 1998-2009,she ministered as a Pastoral Associate in a parish in the Archdiocese of Chicago, IL, concentrating her ministry on adult formation. Dr. Holden was the co-director of the acclaimed Parish Evaluation Project (PEP) from 1980-1995. She holds a Doctor of Ministry degree from St. Mary of the Lake University (Mundelein, IL) and an M.A. in theology from Loyola University Chicago. Her publishing credits include two books that she co-authored, Leadership in a Successful Parish and Recreating the Parish, and numerous articles in journals such as Chicago Studies and Today’s Parish.
