Laura Perez, M.R.E., is a native New Orleanian who is married and the mother of eight children.  She received her Master of Religious Education degree from the Loyola Institute for Ministry on-campus program in 1996.  Inspired by the person and work of Thomas Berry, she developed a particular interest in the spirituality of the natural world.  Laura has taught ecological religious education at the elementary and middle school levels and has coordinated environmental awareness efforts in the school-wide community.  She has broad experience in youth ministry and in lay ministry in Catholic parish work.
